Test-Drive Enola
with AdventureWorks!

Ready to explore the magic of Enola? This guide lets you test Enola's data-crunching powers using the AdventureWorks Data Warehouse—a fun sandbox for a fictional bicycle company.

Enola: Your Data Sidekick

Enola is your friendly guide for slicing and dicing data. It lets you ask questions, run queries, and spark insights—no data science degree needed!

Enola is your data sidekick, simplifying data analysis with the BADIR™ philosophy (Business Question, Analysis Plan, Data Collection, Insights Derivation, Recommendations) and helping you focus on impactful insights.

In this guide, you'll use the AdventureWorks dataset to test Enola's features, but with full access, you can explore your own data.

Chat with Enola: Test the Magic

Enola's analysis approach is rooted in our proprietary BADIR™ framework, which puts your business goals at the forefront of all initiatives.

For instance, imagine you ask Enola, "What's our best-selling bike?"

Enola will respond by asking for the clarifications it needs to finalize the Business Question. Some of these clarifications could be:

  • Are you looking for the best-selling bike by total units sold, or by revenue?
  • Should we consider sales across all regions, or focus on a specific market?
  • Are we interested in a particular time period, like the last quarter or year-to-date?
  • Who are the affected stakeholders?
  • What metric will define success?

Based on your answers, Enola will then generate a structured Analysis Plan including:

Hypothesis

e.g., "The Road-650 is the best-selling bike by revenue in North America for the last quarter, likely due to a recent marketing campaign."

Analysis Goal

e.g., "Identify the top 3 revenue-generating bikes in North America for Q2 2024 to inform targeted marketing strategies."

Methodology

e.g., "Analyze FactInternetSales and FactResellerSales tables, filter by DimGeography (North America), DimDate (Q2 2024), join with DimProduct for product names, and aggregate sales by revenue."

Enola will then perform the analysis and present the final insights, helping you apply the 80-20 Rule (which suggests that roughly 80% of effects come from 20% of causes) by focusing on the "vital few" products or regions that drive the most significant impact.

Questions to Test Enola's Power

Play with these questions in the Chat Section to see what Enola can do:

Sales

"What's the hottest bike by region?"

Customers

"Are high earners buying more?"

Inventory

"Are we low on popular bikes?"

Promotions

"Do discounts boost sales?"

Employees

"Who's the sales champ?"

Regions

"Where bikes shine most?"
